Jalyn KingJalyn King is a communications and outreach professional committed to strengthening communities through engagement, education, and literacy advocacy. She serves as Communications and Outreach Director for the Illinois 57th Senate District, where she connects residents with resources, shares critical information, and builds partnerships across local, state, and federal levels.
Jalyn’s background reflects a strong dedication to education and community impact. As a former Parent Engagement Specialist with East St. Louis School District 189, she supported family engagement and early literacy initiatives that promote student success and whole-child development. Her experience also includes serving as District Office Coordinator for the Illinois House of Representatives, 114th District, and working in healthcare and trauma response settings. Jalyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from McKendree University and a Master of Public Administration and Policy Analysis from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership and Innovation at New York University. She is committed to expanding access to literacy and lifelong learning, helping transform lives and strengthen communities. |
