Nicole PleggeAs a child, Nicole Plegge spent every summer day in her small-town library, bringing armfuls of books home each afternoon. Today, she is committed to ensuring every child has a similar experience, even when barriers block their way to bookshelves.
Nicole’s love of writing has been woven through her professional career. After spending 12 years as an advertising copywriter, she followed her calling to the nonprofit field in 2009, focusing on raising awareness and funds for a variety of healthcare and family services organizations in St. Louis. Nicole currently serves as Director of Development for Midtown Community Services, a community center where individuals, families, and especially children can be nurtured, supported, and build community together. She also has her own freelance writing and public relations company, working with small businesses across the country. Nicole earned her BA in advertising from the University of Illinois and her MPPA from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Outside of work, Nicole volunteers with the Metro East Humane Society and the Edwardsville Girls’ Lacrosse Boosters Club and enjoys spending time with her two daughters. |
